Here we are about 10 days away from meeting Alyssa. It's funny how things are different when it is the second time around. When we were expecting Lexi, EVERYTHING was done months in advance: the room, clothes washed and put away, carseat properly fastened in the car and diapers out and ready. This time...we're just now (10 days before) putting some of the finishing touches on the nursery. It all gets done, right? Here are some updates of the nursery and a drawing Lexi did last night of what we thought was a person. Instead, she named it Cow 2 (Cow 1 had been drawn minutes before). Being the teacher mommy that I am, I was quite impressed with her developmental ability to have all of the body parts in the right spot. Sure, the arms come out of the head...so what! Check out the shoes...that's my girl!

Lexi has been practicing putting Baby Ally in the car seat.
We're going with a flower theme this time. Thanks Erin for coming over to paint these adorable flowers for us!
Thanks Grammy for doing the curtains for us, they turned out great!
We've ordered a bookshelf to go under Alyssa's name along this wall. Should be here soon.
Feels like we just put the crib away...it's baaaaaaack!
Great thing about 2 girls, can re-use the same bedding!

are you kidding me?! you are way more organized than i was or am with Lucy! she just got a room with a crib about a month ago. the futon was moved out as was the tv about a week and ahalf ago and the glider is finally tucked nicely in a corner as opposed to the middle of the room! ha! plus, her clothes are still coming out of bins and thrown into the dresser. the good thing about having an older brother...girls can get away with wearing blue...but boys wearing pink?! hmmmmmmm?
