Random Roselli Happenings

It's been awhile since I have blogged. Here are some of the happenings around our house!

We have resorted to putting up a baby gate in front of Lexi's door at night to "help" her stay in her room. This was the first night we used the gate. She finally gave up, realizing that she couldn't get out and fell asleep on the floor right by the gate. ***As I write this evening, Lexi has been standing at her gate for over an hour refusing to get in her bed. What persistence!***

Our sweet baby, 3 months old.

Yes, those are leg warmers!

Sitting up in the Bumbo seat.

Sisters. Love it!

Having a picnic dinner at Semiahmoo on a gorgeous evening, followed by playing on the beach.

Lexi and our neighbor Maddie at the Ski to Sea parade last weekend.

So sleepy...

Cute tootsies!

This is what happens when a 3 year old helps you clear the table after dinner. Shaking the tub of shredded parmesan cheese because it makes a cool sound=a huge mess!

And as most of you probably know, Chris fractured his elbow during last weekend's Ski to Sea relay while riding his mountain bike. He is going to be okay and today we learned that he will not need surgery. His arm is in a sling which makes it really hard to...

...open that wine bottle!

Our smiley, happy baby!

Relay For Life!

Last Saturday our family spent all day walking up at Western's track to participate in the Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society. We were part of the WWU Alumni team and had a great time. All of the teams combined raised over $80,000 for cancer research! Chris and I both have family members who have been affected by cancer, so the cause is close to our hearts. Both Lexi and Alyssa were with us. Lexi had a great time running, kicking the ball and helping to push Alyssa in the stroller. Alyssa...well, she ate and slept!

Mr. Viking ready to attack cancer!

She refused to wear a nametag so we stuck it on her back without knowing!

The viking helmets were part of our team's attire!

Funny enough, people kept asking if they could buy one of our hats. So, we ended up selling several of them and donating the money back to the cause.

"We hate cancer!"

At 10:00 that night, there was a luminary lighting ceremony. Earlier in the day, you could pay $5.00 to decorate a luminary that would be lit and placed on the track for the ceremony. It was very powerful to see all of the lit luminaries and to read the messages that were on the bags. It was also a wonderful time to think, remember and reflect on the people we love who have battled or are still battling cancer. Miss you Grandma...

Love you, Auntie!

Grandma Roselli, I wish I could have met you! Thanks for creating this wonderful family that I get to be a part of.

Great Weekend!

Girl's night out! Dinner, dessert, drinks and a surprise birthday celebration for me. Thanks ladies, it was great. Angela and Emily...sorry you were not in the picture.

Sunday morning, Chris and Lexi headed to Fred Meyer to buy flowers to plant in the pots on our deck. Lexi was such a good helper!

Not sure how many flowers she actually planted, but it was sure fun to dig in the dirt.

Bury my arms!

Mama and her girls! Aren't they cute??
It was a great weekend!
